Bon voyage

I read and watched a cool turtle story this morning, after I got home yesterday after the IWC meeting in Chile.

This story contributes to more awareness of turtle conservation needs [and by extension of wider ocean conservation imperatives]. On the one hand it's absolutely great to see that nowadays a couple of young UK conservation scientists can partner with their Spanish counterparts to save two washed up turtles. On the other hand it's absolutely depressing that the state of marine turtles [and their future] is so uncertain that it justifies deploying these efforts.

Anyway, I find that it is inspirational to see two enthusiastic human individuals making a difference for two young turtle individuals.
