Migrations

The cafeteria on top of the UN FAO building in Rome is not exactly the best Italian restaurant in town. But as you can see on the photo, its outside terrace has one of the most spectacular views of the city.

I'm here in Rome at the FAO this week to attend the Meeting of Contracting Parties to the Convention on Migratory Species (CMS).

There are a lot of talks here on the impact of climate change on migratory species, primarily birds of course.

Meanwhile in Poznan, Poland where the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and the Kyoto Protocol are meeting also this week and next, attention is given to the plight of human climate refugees.
