Green week in Lisbon

Every year around the time of World Environment Day (the 5 of June, anniversary of the 1972 UN Conference on the Human Environment held in Stockolm and remembered as the start of the contemporary environment policy debate), the European Commission organises in Brussels a stakeholders' dialogue called the EU Green Week. This year, it is taking place this coming week, and the theme is biodiversity conservation.

So, it is hardly a coincidence if we are organising, also this week, the Deep Sea Conservation Coalition workshop in Lisbon.

If you are in Brussels, why don't you go and ask the European Commission and EU member states to put their words into action with regard to biodiversity conservation, and to support a moratorium on high seas bottom trawling?

If you are in Lisbon, come and spend Tuesday with us, in the auditorium of the Luso-American Foundation.

Nós estamos em Lisboa.

Você é bem-vindo a nossa conferencia, em terça-feira.
