Blue sky

I feel sorry for Tina Fey this morning. But I'm so happy for all my American friends, and for the rest of the world.

I just watched [twice] President-elect Obama's great Victory speech. From it I'd like to retain four words he's pronounced in his list of key challenges: "A Planet in peril" [a sharp contrast from the McCain/Palin campaign's "Country First" slogan]. Clearly, the sky is clearing up at the top.

With the end of Obama's first Presidency in 2012, which is the target date for entry into force of the Kyoto 2 agreement [and even also possibly the year of a new Earth Summit], the world needs US environmental leadership.
