Back to Earth

Because the media is full of stories on the 40th anniversary of the first human landing on the Moon [I recommend the amazing story about the 23 year old guy who designed the computer used on board the Apollo vessel, which contained only a tiny portion of the memory in any contemporary drive-pen], I thought I'd link into the website of the Apollo Alliance.

Set up by environmentalists, trade unionists, scientists, legislators and progressive entrepreneurs the Apollo Alliance has been promoting for several years a massive renewable energy programme of a scale comparable with the ten-year effort to go on the Moon in the 60s. If we could pull so many big brains and resources to go on the Moon in the 60s, shouldn't it be possible to pull off a clean energy revolution?

In the same vein, Greenpeace put out last year a video featuring John Fitzgerald Kennedy announcing the clean energy revolution.
