Rome climate

Someone told me that I am not supposed to take photos inside the meeting of the International Whaling Commission here in Rome at FAO Headquarters where the member States are discussing the future of the international whale conervation regime. So, I thought I'd post a photo of the beautiful view from my hotel room instead.

Richard Black from the BBC has posted an interesting piece on his blog, in which he draws a parallel between this week's Copenhagen climate negs preparatory meeting, and this week's whale negs in Rome.

The meeting is expected to end tomorrow at midday. The rule is that no comments on what is being said can be made until the meeting adjourns.
